ECB-S certificate: Transparency in the purchase of safes

Strict quality criteria for secure investment decision making

FRANKFURT-M./ESSEN. - Oct. 2010.The look of safes for sale is often deceptive. A confusing offer makes the investment decision even more difficult. Transparency is ensured by the ECB-S certification. The certificates of the European Security Systems Association (ESSA) are based on the European Standards for secure storage units. They guarantee security in accordance with defined resistance grades.

Deposit systems need certification according to EN 1143-2

(As of: 14. June 2013)

Frankfurt/M. – June 2013. Deposit systems must have certification according to the European Standard EN 1143-2. This standard also takes account of attack methods targeted at the input unit. A revision of this standard is planned to be completed before the end of this year already: It shall offer the option to include gas attacks in the test as well.
