Leading certification services provider for security products

The European Security Systems Association (ESSA) e.V. is the leading certification services provider for security products – at European and international level.

Thanks to the intense commitment of the ESSA, the fundamental national testing regulations could be combined in the CEN European Committee for Standardization and harmonized as European standards. This constitutes the basis of uniform testing procedures in Europe. In 2002, taking the  European standards as a basis and with the aim to establish ”one-stop-testing/one-stop-certification”, the ESSA gave its certification system a new – European – orientation which is still pursued.

Deposit systems need certification according to EN 1143-2

(As of: 14. June 2013)

Frankfurt/M. – June 2013. Deposit systems must have certification according to the European Standard EN 1143-2. This standard also takes account of attack methods targeted at the input unit. A revision of this standard is planned to be completed before the end of this year already: It shall offer the option to include gas attacks in the test as well.
